Well, after months of planning and working, we have finally launched our new site. We have added new features and added a more in depth look at some of our programs. We have also added a new shopping feature we have created with Amazon.com. You can shop for high end coffee makers and espresso machines, along with some really cool and fun gifts. If you love collegiate mugs, then make sure you check this shop out! Thanks for everyone's patience as we have had our site down for quite a while and have also had tremendous technical issues with our email during this time.

Rainy days and Mondays....always get me down

Monday night around 9:00pm, we received a call from our office building informing us of storm damage to the building. The call went on to tell us that our office was hit the hardest and we had significant damage and needed to come down. A freakish summer storm hit Downtown Chattanooga and had enough power in it to rip roofs of of several buildings.

After a long night assesing the damage, I went home and returned early Tuesday to start to pick up the pieces. We suffered equipment damages and we are still evaluating the extent of those damages. We are also having to wait on the completion of removing the water and repairs from that damage. In every disaster situation, there are amazing things that emerge. From the wonderful people in the Chattanooga media who came out to share our story with the community, to the great supporters and customers of Rewired Roasters who have shared their thoughts with us, we have been able to see past the immediate situation and see just how very blessed we are.

We expect to be down for a couple of weeks while we dry out, repair, and replace equipment. Two days now without roasting has made us realize yet again just how much we love what we do. Great coffee. Great Organizations. What a wonderful combo! I'm off to sip a latte on the Ark.

School's Out For Summer! (But we're still roasting)

As a kid, this was what we were looking for....no school. Long hot summers filled with pool parties and Little League All-Star games. In the end though, school loomed on the horizon and eventually arrived.

We have spent our summer meeting with local schools and presenting our company to administrators. We are so excited to welcome the new school year because this marks our first year making partnerships with some of our Chattanooga area public schools. As a graduate of Hamilton County Schools (Ooltewah High School c/o '93), it excites me tremendously to be able to help create an impact in the school system that gave so much to me. As we continue to meet with school administrators and add new schools, we will post them on here, as well as on our checkout.

Everyday, as Americans, we drink more than 300 million cups of coffee. Over 70% of those cups are brewed and consumed at home. The tastes and preferences of the specialty coffee consumer has shifted. Simply picking a vacuum sealed "brick" of ground coffee off of the grocery store shelf for coffee needs at home...that just doesn't work anymore. Specialty coffee consumers demand quality, freshness, and uniqueness.

Within the parents of your school, members of your church, and supporters of your non-profit there are specialty coffee consumers.
